Repousante Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation Periods:

    • Full Refund: Cancellations made 60 days or more before the scheduled check-in date will receive a full refund.

    • 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before the scheduled check-in date will receive a 50% refund.

    • No Refund: Cancellations made within 29 days of the scheduled check-in date will not be eligible for a refund.
       

  2. Deposit Requirement to Confirm Booking:

    • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking and should be paid within 5 days of the booking being made. Failure to pay the deposit within this timeframe will result in the automatic cancellation of the reservation.
       

  3. Payment of Full Amount:

    • The full accommodation amount must be paid 30 days before the intended arrival date. Failure to make the full payment within this timeframe will result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the entire deposit paid.
       

  4. Guest-Initiated Alternative Booking:

    • If guests need to cancel after the cancellation period and wish to receive a full refund or a partial refund based on a shorter or lower-rate booking by an alternative guest, they may actively seek and propose an alternative guest to take over their reservation.
       

  5. Conditions for Alternative Booking Refunds:

    • The alternative guest must be approved by Repousante Management.

    • The alternative guest's booking must cover the same dates as the original reservation or a portion thereof.

    • If the alternative guest's booking is for a shorter period or at a lower rate, the refund will be adjusted accordingly.
       

  6. Procedure for Alternative Bookings:

    • Guests must inform Repousante Management of their intent to find an alternative guest.

    • The alternative guest's information, including contact details, must be provided for approval.

    • Repousante Management will assess and confirm the eligibility of the alternative booking.

    • The alternative guest must pay the full amount to secure the booking, and a refund will only be made to the original guest once the alternative guest's payment reflects in our account.
       

  7. Early Departures or Late Arrivals:

    • No refunds or discounts will be provided for early departures or late arrivals, regardless of the reason.
       

  8. Refund Processing Time:

    • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation request.
       

  9. Security Deposit:

    • The security deposit, if collected, will be fully refunded within 14 days of the check-out date, provided there are no damages or violations of the rental agreement.
       

  10. Reservation Modifications:

    • Guests are allowed to modify their reservation dates, subject to availability and approval. However, such modifications may be treated as cancellations if they result in a shorter stay.
       

  11. Force Majeure:

    • In the event of circumstances beyond the control of both the guest and Repousante Management (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), our cancellation policy may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis.
       

  12. Cancellation Request Procedure:

    • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to bookings@repousante.co.za. The cancellation date is considered the date the request is received.
       

  13. Travel Insurance:

    • We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseen events that may lead to cancellations.
